Abstract:While Large Language Models (LLMs) achieve impressive performance on multi-step reasoning tasks, their reliability is persistently hindered by critical limitations such as unconstrained hallucinations and poor numerical computation. Fundamentally, these issues arise because standard models treat reasoning as a transient, one-off generation process rather than retaining and refining successful procedural logic. To address these challenges, we propose eMoT (evolving Memory-of-Thought), a unified framework that stabilizes multi-step reasoning by treating reasoning trajectories as dynamic, evolving memories rather than static templates. The framework primarily consists of three interconnected modules: (i) a memory corrosion mechanism that reinforces high-utility reasoning structures while gradually decaying less frequent ones; (ii) a symbolic anchoring engine that utilizes Python for deterministic computation, much like a human uses a calculator; and (iii) a consistency-driven refinement process that aligns neural inference with symbolic outcomes, reducing the accumulation of logical discrepancies. Across multiple reasoning benchmarks, eMoT improves accuracy and solution consistency over standard Chain-of-Thought and structured reasoning baselines.On the traditional task Game of 24, eMoT achieves 100% accuracy, surpassing the baseline by up to 17.6%. Evaluations on mathematical task GSM8K, ASDiv, SVAMP, and MGSM further show consistent gains in multi-step mathematical reasoning. In our evaluation, we achieve superior performance despite utilizing a lightweight backbone model with constrained baseline capabilities. Compared to alternative methods that rely on massively scaled models, our results demonstrate that the performance gains are fundamentally driven by the eMoT framework's reasoning control rather than sheer model size.
Abstract:Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) demonstrate remarkable visual understanding, yet their reliability in interactive settings is severely undermined by hallucination snowballing: a phenomenon where initial errors amplify across conversational turns, leading to a collapse in coherence. This failure reveals a fundamental vulnerability where models progressively neglect visual grounding in favor of over-relying on polluted textual history. Existing benchmarks are predominantly confined to single-turn VQA, which fail to capture the complex dynamics of error propagation in long-horizon interactions. To address this, we introduce MM-Snowball, the first benchmark for fine-grained diagnosis of hallucination snowballing within dialogues. Extensive evaluation shows that our benchmark poses a significant challenge even to advanced MLLMs and reveals the inefficacy of existing mitigation methods designed for single-turn VQA. To counteract this degradation, we propose Conflict-Aware Visual Rectification (CAVR). This training-free method mitigates snowballing through a synergistic dual-mechanism that refreshes visual grounding at the representation level and rectifies output distributions at the logit level, effectively re-anchoring the model to visual facts. Experiments demonstrate that CAVR achieves state-of-the-art performance, offering a promising path toward more reliable interactive AI. Abstract:Automatic speech recognition (ASR) is a core component of human--computer interaction and an increasingly important front-end for LLM-based assistants and agents. However, most current ASR systems still follow a single-pass paradigm, which is poorly aligned with human communication, where misunderstandings are resolved through iterative clarification and refinement. This mismatch makes it difficult to correct meaning-critical errors once they occur. Meanwhile, token-level metrics such as WER or CER cannot adequately reflect such a problem. To address these limitations, we formulate \emph{Interactive ASR} as a multi-turn refinement task and propose \textbf{Agentic ASR}, a closed-loop framework that combines a single-pass ASR front-end with semantic correction, intent routing, and reasoning-based editing. We further introduce the \textbf{Sentence-level Semantic Error Rate} ($S^2ER$), an LLM-based semantic evaluation metric, together with an \textbf{Interactive Simulation System} for scalable and reproducible benchmarking. Experiments on multilingual, named-entity-intensive, and code-switching benchmarks show that iterative interaction consistently reduces semantic errors, with much larger gains in $S^2ER$ than in conventional token-level metrics. Human--AI alignment and ablation studies further validate the reliability of the semantic judge and the robustness of the proposed framework. Abstract:Modern open-world agents such as OpenClaw exhibit powerful cross-environment execution capabilities yet introduce broad new safety risk sources. Meanwhile, advanced frontier AI models drastically lower attack barriers, rendering current agent alignment frameworks inadequate for real-world deployment. To tackle these emerging threats, we propose a lightweight and scalable agent safety alignment framework. Specifically, we update the agent safety taxonomy to accommodate emergent risks from Codex and OpenClaw execution scenarios. We further build a taxonomy-guided data engine with influence-function purification to train lightweight AgentDoG 1.5 variants (0.8B, 2B, 4B, and 8B parameters) using only around 1k samples, achieving comparable performance with leading closed-source models (e.g., GPT-5.4). Based on AgentDoG 1.5, we construct a highly efficient agentic safety SFT and RL training environment, which reduces deployment overhead in Docker-level environments by two orders of magnitude. Finally, we deploy AgentDoG 1.5 as a training-free online guardrail for real-time safety moderation. Extensive experimental results indicate that AgentDoG 1.5 achieves state-of-the-art performance in diverse and complex interactive agentic scenarios. All models and datasets are openly released.
Abstract:Recently, large language models (LLMs) have achieved superior performance in static financial reasoning and simple dynamic trading tasks. However, existing static financial benchmarks are insufficient to assess the dynamic wealth management and financial decision-making capabilities of LLMs in real-world environments. To bridge this gap, we present FinBoardBench, an evaluation suite based on three classic financial board games: Cashflow, Acquire, and Monopoly. FinBoardBench assesses a comprehensive set of financial skills, including personal cash flow management with debt balancing, corporate investment and acquisition forecasting, and competitive trade negotiations with asset auctions. Our experiments with 9 advanced LLMs reveal that while exhibiting basic long-term planning and investment logic, they fail to effectively leverage complex interactions for profit, and their strong static reasoning performance does not transform into successful dynamic decision-making. Notably, they tend to prioritize immediate asset acquisition over maintaining sufficient liquidity, making them vulnerable to financial crises triggered by random events. We hope that FinBoardBench can provide a valuable reference for more intelligent LLM-based decision-making systems in the future.
Abstract:Single-frame atmospheric turbulence mitigation is inherently ill-posed due to spatially varying blur coupled with non-rigid geometric distortion. Existing end-to-end approaches trained on flat-field simulations often struggle to balance texture recovery with geometric rectification. To overcome this limitation, we propose D$^2$Turb, a unified framework that bridges physics-grounded simulation with explicitly decoupled restoration. First, we introduce a Depth-Aware Turbulence Synthesis protocol that incorporates scene depth into the phase-to-space formulation. This generates physically consistent, depth-dependent degradations and provides a crucial intermediate tilt supervision signal for disentangled learning. Building upon this simulation engine, D$^2$Turb decomposes restoration into two interactive stages: texture deblurring and geometric rectification. The texture deblurring stage employs a deblurring backbone to recover fine-grained details while preserving geometric distortion for the subsequent rectification stage. To mitigate the information fragmentation commonly observed in cascaded designs, we further propose an Adaptive Structural Prior Injection (ASPI) mechanism that dynamically transfers deep structural representations from the deblurring module to guide dense flow prediction for spatial unwarping. Extensive experiments demonstrate that D$^2$Turb achieves state-of-the-art performance on both synthetic and real-world datasets, with consistent improvements in both texture recovery and geometric fidelity. Abstract:Fine-grained Vision-Language Pre-training (FVLP) demonstrates significant potential in 3D medical image understanding by aligning anatomy-level visual representations with corresponding textual descriptions. However, existing FVLP paradigms often suffer from severe representation collapse in the textual embedding space, where text embeddings of distinct anatomical structures become highly clustered and indistinguishable. This distributional degeneracy renders the model hypersensitive to prompt variations, hindering reliable clinical deployment. To address these challenges, we propose a novel Cross-Anatomy Global-Local Contrastive Learning framework (CA-GCL). CA-GCL introduces a global contrastive objective that enforces separation between anatomical categories in the latent space, effectively counteracting the aggregation tendency induced by local alignment. Furthermore, we incorporate a clinical-aware text augmentation strategy based on permutation invariance and partial completeness to enhance robustness against descriptive incompleteness. Extensive evaluations on the CT-RATE and Rad-ChestCT datasets demonstrate that CA-GCL consistently outperforms existing VLP paradigms in zero-shot abnormality detection, achieving superior performance while exhibiting strong cross-dataset generalization. Crucially, CA-GCL reduces performance variance across diverse prompt templates, transforming the collapsed textual similarity distribution into a bell-shaped distribution. These results validate CA-GCL as an effective framework for robust 3D medical image understanding.
Abstract:Accurate High-Definition (HD) map construction is critical for autonomous driving, yet existing methods face a fundamental trade-off: vectorization-based approaches preserve topology but struggle with geometric fidelity, while rasterization-based approaches enable precise geometric supervision but produce unstructured outputs. To bridge this gap, we propose GSMap, a novel framework that unifies both paradigms via a learnable 2D Gaussian representation. Each map element is modeled as an ordered sequence of 2D Gaussians, whose centers correspond to the vertices of the vectorized polyline/polygon. This formulation enables simultaneous optimization through: (1) Differentiable rasterization that enforces pixel-level geometric constraints, and (2) Topology-aware vectorization that maintains structural regularity. Experiments on both nuScenes and Argoverse2 demonstrate that our Gaussian-based representation effectively unifies geometric and topological learning, achieving significant performance improvements and demonstrating strong compatibility with existing HD mapping architectures. Abstract:Recent advances in visual generative models have enabled high-fidelity image editing guided by human instructions. However, these models often struggle with complex instructions involving combinatorial editing operations or inter-step dependencies. This difficulty stems from the limitations of two canonical paradigms: (1) single-turn editing, which attempts to apply all instructed edits in one pass, often fails to parse the complex instruction accurately and causes undesired edits; and (2) sequential editing can decompose the task into simpler steps but suffers from compounding errors introduced by the sequential execution, leading to low-fidelity results. To derive a robust solution for complex image editing, we examine editing behaviors of different paradigms under a unified in-context editing framework, and study how the benefits of sequential decomposition can be balanced against its error-accumulation drawbacks. We further develop a synthetic data pipeline that constructs editing tasks of varying instruction complexity, allowing us to curate a large-scale editing dataset with high-quality decomposed sequences. By finetuning on synthetic data, we discovered that with properly designed editing paradigms, sequential decomposition yields robust improvements even as task complexity increases. Furthermore, the decomposition skills learned from synthetic tasks can transfer to real images by co-training with real-world editing data, demonstrating the promise of sim-to-real generalization for tackling complex image editing across broader domains.
Abstract:Diffusion-based voxel prior modelling is challenging for the reconstruction of large-scale 3D porous microstructures. Due to the demanding requirements for simultaneously modelling both the continuous pore morphology and the discrete pore-throat topology, the diffusion models require fully observed CT scans to provide topology-faithful priors, which results in an inherent trade-off among throughput, topological fidelity, and field of view in practical industrial applications. We propose GeoTopoDiff, a graph diffusion-based framework for reconstructing 3D porous microstructures from sparse CT slices. GeoTopoDiff transfers the learning of diffusion priors from a voxel-based space to a mixed graph state space, which simultaneously encompasses continuous pore geometry and discrete pore-throat topology. A topology-aware partial graph prior from sparsely observed CT slices is introduced to constrain the reverse denoising process. Experiments on anisotropic PTFE and Fontainebleau sandstone show that GeoTopoDiff reduces morphology-related errors by 19.8% and topology-sensitive transport errors by 36.5% on average. Our findings suggest that the mixed graph state space promotes the diffusion denoising process to reduce posterior uncertainty under a sparse observations. All models and code have been made publicly available to facilitate the exploration of diffusion models in the field of 3D porous microstructures simulation.
